1. Which app this covers
This page covers Circlst (Android package com.dizonlabs.circlst) and the Circlst web application, both operated by Marlon Dizon. It explains how to delete your account and what happens to your data when you do.
Deleting your account is permanent. It cannot be undone, and a deleted account cannot be restored by contacting support.
2. Delete inside the app
The fastest route is from the app itself, which deletes your account immediately without waiting on a manual request:
- Open Circlst and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to Danger zone and tap Delete account.
- Review the summary of what will be removed.
- Type delete to confirm, then confirm your account email address.
Once confirmed, your account and the data listed in section 4 are erased from active systems straight away, and you are signed out on every device.
3. Request deletion by email
If you cannot sign in, no longer have the app installed, or would rather not use the in-app flow, send a deletion request to lonpdzon@gmail.com with the subject Circlst account deletion request.
Send the request from the email address registered to the account so ownership can be verified. If that mailbox is no longer accessible, say so in your message and we will ask for other information to confirm the account is yours before anything is deleted. Never include your password in the email.
Requests are acknowledged and acted on within 30 days of verification.
4. What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes the following from active systems:
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Account and sign-in identity | Your login, email address, password or linked Google sign-in, and email-verification status are deleted. |
| Profile | Your display name and profile photo are deleted, including the stored image file. |
| Lists you own | Every list you own is deleted along with its items, amounts, notes, due dates, recurrence settings, expenses, settlements, messages, and activity history. |
| Uploaded files and images | Receipts, item photos, meal images, and message images attached to lists you own are deleted from file storage, including generated thumbnails. |
| Workspace and memberships | Your workspace, your membership in other people's lists, and pending invitations you sent or received are deleted. |
| Subscription record | Your Circlst Pro entitlement record is deleted. See section 5 regarding billing handled by Google Play. |
5. What is kept, and why
| Data | Why it is kept | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Lists owned by other people | Deleting your account does not delete another member's list. Content you added to someone else's list remains so their records stay intact, but references to your profile are removed or anonymized. | Until that list's owner deletes it |
| Encrypted backups | Backups are taken for disaster recovery and cannot be edited selectively. Your data stays isolated in them and is not restored into the live service. | Overwritten on the normal backup cycle |
| Security and fraud-prevention logs | Limited records of sign-in attempts and abuse prevention are retained to protect the service and other users. | A limited operational period |
| Records required by law | Some records must be retained to meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations. | As required by applicable law |
| Google Play purchase records | Payments are processed by Google Play, not by Circlst. Google keeps its own transaction records under its policies. | Per Google's retention policy |
Cancel your subscription separately. Deleting your Circlst account does not cancel an active Circlst Pro subscription, because the subscription belongs to your Google account rather than to Circlst. Cancel it in the Google Play Store under Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions before or after deleting your account, or it will continue to renew.
6. Delete data without deleting your account
You do not have to delete your whole account to remove information from Circlst. Each of the following works on its own and takes effect immediately:
| To remove | Where |
|---|---|
| A whole list and everything in it | Open the list → Settings → delete the list. Its items, expenses, messages, and attached images go with it. |
| An individual item, expense, or payment | Swipe the row in the list and choose delete. |
| A message you sent | Open the list's Messages screen and delete the message. |
| A photo or receipt | Open the image and remove it, or replace it with a different one. |
| Your profile photo | Profile → Edit Profile → remove the photo. |
| Your access to someone else's list | Open the list and leave it. Your membership is removed; the list itself belongs to its owner. |
If you would rather have specific information removed for you, email lonpdzon@gmail.com from your registered address describing what you want deleted. Requests are handled on the same 30-day basis as account deletion, and your account stays active.
7. How long it takes
- In-app deletion: immediate. Your account and the data in section 4 are removed from active systems as soon as you confirm.
- Email request: acted on within 30 days of verifying that the account is yours.
- Backups and logs: the limited copies described in section 5 are removed or overwritten on their normal retention cycles.
Questions about deletion or about the data held on your account can be sent to lonpdzon@gmail.com. Your rights over your personal information are described in the Privacy Policy.
